In the immediate aftermath of the Jan-2010 earthquake in Haiti, EKTA funded the implementation cost of Inveneo’s satellite-based Wi-Fi Broadband Network for NetHope in Port-au-Prince that brought real-time communication to NGOs, getting aid where it was needed most and saving innumerable lives.
With Inveneo and an elite group of purposeful partner organizations, we completed our shared commitment to expand this low-cost broadband access network country-wide. Internet access across the country will allow Haitians to see the world in a new light and, equally importantly, enable the world to understand Haiti and its people better.
