The EKTA Foundation joined an elite list of organizations as a Sponsor of the Clinton Global Initiative's annual meeting in New York, timed to coincide with the UN General Assembly going into session.
The meeting was attended by several heads of state from across the globe. At the Opening Plenary Session, President Clinton invited Gary White and Matt Damon Co-Founders of Water.org to announce their commitment to bring Safe Water & Sanitation to the people of Haiti. Gary gave the audience some background on Water.org's global progress and announced the selection of Haiti as its next major project site. Matt made the commitment announcement and recognized the contribution of The EKTA Foundation in providing anchor funding for Water.org's project in Haiti.
